One of the basic requirements when traveling is that your passport should have at least 6 months validity prior to its expiration date. Whilst, when visiting a country that needs visa, the embassy requires at least 2 blank pages of your passport. It is good to note that the new maroon coloured passport is 44 pages compared to the old green coloured passport that is only 32 pages. While, I have 1 more year before my passport expires, I needed to apply for early renewal as there is not enough blank pages for immigration stamp and to accommodate space for visa application.

1. For Filipinos living in Singapore, you can download the application form for renewal at: http://www.philippine-embassy.org.sg/wp-content/uploads/forms/consular-epassport-application.pdf . Fill in the form completely.
2. The next step is to set an appointment which can be done through email or you can submit it in person at the Philippine Embassy at Window 9. But why waste time when you can do it by email?
3. Once your appointment is fixed, you can proceed to prepare the basic requirements listed here: http://www.philippine-embassy.org.sg/consular/passport/application-renewal/. And that’s it.
4. On the date of your appointment, please make sure that you have the complete set of requirements:
> Employment Pass;
> Current Passport;
> Appointment Slip;
> Completed e-Passport Application Form; and
> A passport fee of SGD $102 in cash
> For Work Permit holders, they are required to bring the copy of their Employment Contract
By the way, the processing takes at least 4 weeks up to 6 weeks. And the collection can be done only on weekdays. No collection on Sundays. If you are lucky, you can set an appointment for application during Sunday.

You can ask the embassy should they allow you to travel as you have mentioned the expiration date of your passport is July w/c falls in the 6 months validity. You may tell them you will renew it in the Philippines. Sometimes it’s a case to case basis. State your reason and see how they response. Good luck!

Passport renewal has nothing to do with how long you are employed by your employer, if it’s about to expire you have to renew definitely. Please take sometime to read the requirements, it’s there^

Hi Anabel, am not sure about your situation. I’ve renewed my passport in Singapore 2X without an agency. The first time I renew it I was not even living in Singapore for a year. I had to do that for my visa application to Europe to be approved. You know the 6 months validity stuff.
Maybe if you have an agent, ask them, or better contact the embassy directly to enlighten you about your situation. Hope it helps!

Your planned travel in December falls short for the 6 months passport validity. Why not renew your passport at the Philippine Embassy in SG before you go for holiday. Give yourself at least 1 month, 2 months max for the processing. They allow advance passport renewal especially for travel reasons.

As far as I remember the Philippines Embassy (SG) accommodate urgent passport renewal. Contact or email them. State clearly your reason why you urgently need it. They will assist you accordingly.

Usually po, base po sa experience ko, nag a accommodate po ang Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Singapore for advance renewal of passport due to reasons that you have cited, kung halos mapuno na po ng chop ang inyong pasaporte at wala nang espasyo bibigyan po kayo ng ating embahada ng prayoridad para ma renew kagad ang inyong pasaporte. Ipaliwanag nyo po sa ating embahada ang inyong kalagayan at kayo po ay bibigyan ng naayon na kasagutan at solusyon sa inyong sitwasyon. Salamat po at maligayang paglalakbay!

Alam n’yo po ate kung valid pa ang passport n’yo for the next 6 months bago kayo uuwi, makakapag travel po kayo pero kung hindi na po, kelangan n’yo po itong i-renew. Paki contact na lang po ang ating Embahada sa Singapore upang makatanggap kayo ng mas malinaw na payo. Salamat po.

You did not clarify which renewal are you referring to. You’ve mentioned your passport and working pass are both about to expire. And it surely needs to be renewed. Both. (For working pass, if you decide to continue working). And passport, definitely, so you can travel.

Sa tingin ko hindi kailangan ang employer sa sa pagri-renew ng passport dahil personal mo namang dokumento ang iri-renew maliban na lamang marahil kung may bahagi ba sa form na kailangan ng signature ng employer? Kung nais mong makasiguro, paki kontak na lang ng direkta ang Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Singapore.
